Hi , thinking of buying the harmony remote companion, but since the remote itself does not use ir I wonder if the hub/blaster has enough power to turn on my projector? which is on the opposite wall (3 meter).

My current harmony 650 seems to reflect its signals from my screen so I just have to point it forward to the image, does anyone here use the companion with a projector?

I see, are the emitters all around the hub?, I’m thinking if I can use it both for my devices inside the hub and also reach the projector at the same time, the white of the cabinet is speaker cloth ( not wood ) The emty space on the left pic is where I would place the hub.

Hub has 2 IR diodes to the front, 1 to each side and 2 on the top, so 6 total.

If u search harmony hub inside you will find pictures of the PCB.

I would run a test. Take the projectors factory remote, hold it behind the cloth door, shoot at the projector and if operational there is a very good chance the Harmony Hub IR signal will reach it. If not then you might have to consider placing the hub on top of Ikea cAbinet and mini-flasher inside. It’s kind of nice to see the green light tell you WiFi is connected and flashes for commands on status LED. It will also help cover the top wire opening of your cabinet.
