Is there anyway to setup a Harmony remote (I have the 650) to operate MCP-HC. Like pause, stop, forward, reverse, ect.

I use EventGhost to do it, however you can do it within MPC-HC as well it appears via the App Command options - http://www.avforums.com/forums/home-...r-classic.html

Harmony assuming it can learn your original remote, can simply do what the original can do. So asking about the Harmony remote able to control MPC-HC is the wrong question.


The more important question is what IR receiver you have.

I know folks generally bag on Imon, but, using Imon utilities w/ the Antec IR receiver I put in my HTPC, there are all kinds of possibilities for mapping app-specific keys. I got mine all mapped out and working w/ mpc-hc, foobar, and wmc w/ mb. And it's not particularly challenging to do.


And it works with any MCE remote. I'm using it w/ a Harmony 900 w/ no problems.


I dunno -- maybe other folks are trying to do much more advanced actions w/ their remotes than I am?
