I just picked up a smart control. I read that the mini blaster could be extended so I picked up a 3.5mm cable and the 2.5mm adapters so I could extend from my hub. It's a 25' cable (all my gear is in a media closet except the TV). Is there a limit to the length it can be extended? If I hook the blaster up to the hub I can barely stretch it around the corner and point it towards the TV and it works awesome, but when I connect it to the cable it doesn't do anything. Have I gone past the max limit or am I looking at a bad cable/adapter? I'm going to pick up some 2.5mm cables (12' is the longest I can find) and try it with those so I have less connections, but I won't have them until next week.

I am sure its a cable problem. Remember its all mono plugs and not stereo. Personally I have extended the older ones over 50'. Its very easy to just cut the wire and splice in as many feet of similar gauge wire.
