Like Alfine cars stereos?

Kenford car amps?

Rockwood car speakers?

Elipse car steres?

Of course if all amps sound the same then it doesn't matter who makes it......

Just kidding.

There are a quite a few small but pretty good audio companies emerging in China, and this may be one.

I asked a simple question. This is not about Brand recognition. I could be Branded Brystom :D and I would still ask about someone's experience with it.

I just tried their web site, no answer.

I think a certain amount of skepticism is warranted, just based on the name alone.

In fact when I saw the thread title, I instantly thought of "white van speakers." :) But a little google searching revealed this:

Made in China. But they seem to be for real.

Sorry, you didn't get the referance....these "car stereo" companies I mentioned make the worst schlock around and count on the name brand confusion....I was just guessing that this was a similar situation.

I did get the reference. I also understand that some new or relatively unknown manufacturers do resort to such tactics as there's no way they'll get any kind of market penetration with an an entirely new name that nobody would recognize. Whether or not this is ethical is subject to interpretation. But what in business really is ? Just ask the Big boys. Many of those manufacturers do indeed, like you mentioned, make the worst schlock and do not deserve our attention; but on rare occasions, some may come out with a fairly decent product. But I do understand what you mean. That is why I asked if someone had an actual experiece with the Brand and gave it a fair assessment. It does have some good specs and seems to be well built. :)

Their website still isn't working. Anyone know what company is marketing and distributing these amps in the USA?

I actually own that pictured integrated, the A4. IMO, excellent. Killer for the money. I also had owned an Audcom A160, 80wpc solidstate but a tube pre section that was also very good - a bit fat on the bass but nice.

To me, the A4 has a smooth presence in the midrange, hard to describe. Clear but not sharp. I also have a Krell 300i integrated and trying the Audcom again (which I had prior to the Krell) so I can decide which to keep. The Krell is sharper in the highs and very detailed but sometimes sounds exagerated. I use a theta gen II dac, but have to use the RCA/unbalanced because the balanced out to the krell's balanced in is just too high pre levels giving me only a 3 ticks for lower volume listening. The audcom sounds more "romantic"?! (hate using dem phile words)....

Nice thing about A4 is the multiple preouts and the remote.
