Has anyone ceiling mounted Magnepan MMG-W
I know that I have asked this question before but i am hoping that maybe someone new has tried mounting these little babies on a ceiling. So forgive me re-asking.
So, i have no wall one one side of the theater..wall ends right at seating postion and opens into rest of basement. This makes wall mounting one of the MMG-W impossable unless it is in front of the seating position, and i doubt that works very well for surround. I have thought about mounting it on a stand, but have been unable to get a good answer as to what the effect of this would be other then, "that wont work very well" I do have a nice low ceiling behind the theater seats and could mount the speakers horizontally there. Just wondering if anyone has done this and if it worked. Also, what would be the angle..off the the side at 90', or behind the seating position parrellel to it? Any insight is appreciated. I have asked magnepan, but in the end they say that they MMG-W is ment to be wall mounted.
. When designing the HT i did not think this would be as issue, then due to problems out of my controll it became ine. I already have MMG fonts and MMG-C in the HT. TIA!!!!
