I just received my HDMI cable. The DVD player I'll get is on backorder. So while waiting for that, I'd like to paint my HDMI cable and then string it around the room (over doors, etc.) Before I go painting and installing it, I'm wondering if there's any chance it could be bad and I'll have to return it. I've got a Gefen 50' cable. Thanks.

Yes.
Bought a Philips HDMI to DVI cable from Walmart that was bad. Bought a bunch of different cables from Monoprice - all good.
