As I wrote.

I'm seeking info on the transcoder that's in my link.

http://home.pchome.com.tw/myhome/cm84006/e_com.html

It's a component to RGB transcoder that they sell at 135$.

But I've been told that it's avalable thru the "Deals" section here on the forum, and for the price of 70$.

This would be very interesting.

Has anybody bought and tried this application??

And how do I do

I don't want to pre-judge this as i am probably going to try this myself. But, for the price, the components can't be that great and i imagine higher bandwidth stuff won't look as good as on the more expensive kd ones. This will definetly be a low end solution.

I totaly agree with you.

But the thing is that for me I only have to transcode Progressive PAL

Meaning not that high bandwidth.

If I wanted to go higher I would go with a scaler or something like that.

I mean the KD costs at least 200$ add another 200$ and you got a low end scaler.

Add 400$ and so on forever.

See what I mean??

Well I'll just have to wait to see if a review turns up.

Yeah I remembered that I had seen that one before when I looked it up.

But still it's too much money, if I add 150 euro I can buy a scaler.

Or for the same price I can get a Key Digital Transcoder that will definetly work.

See what I mean, that's why this DIY transcoder would be a very nice complement until i get a real Scaler.

But maybe i'll keep it the way it is and go for the scaler right away.

But keep'em comin!!

Thanks for the tip though.
