If someone in the Minneapolis area has an LT150, I'll be happy to take a look at it and see if the gamma tables can be reprogrammed. (Earlier LT-series projectors can be flash-updated to have gamma tables much more suited for home theater use.) Send me email if interested.

I used Video Essentials and according to the guidelines the blacks appear fine, but then I don't have anything other than the BLUE FILTER that came with the disc to correct COLOR and TINT. Are you referring to getting BLACKER THAN BLACK on the PLUGE (THX OPTIMODE) patterns (the far left of the two left bars)? http://www.avsforum.com/ubb/smile.gif

Mark I'd be interested about the Gamma update if it is also easily undoable and can be done via simple instructions and not sending the unit anywhere.... http://www.avsforum.com/ubb/smile.gif

I don't know whether the LT150's tables can be updated the same as the LT100's, so for initial tests it would be better to have someone bring one over in person. Shipping is too risky, and there's a chance it might not work anyway. It would not take more than a half hour or so and everything is done through the serial port without opening the projector.
Hi all,

I find, that the Gamma of the NEC LT 150 ist not so perfect as it seems.

The Blacklevel can be much better than Naturel 1 or 2.

Has somebody try this?

Please let me now.
