has the x800 fixed half-res issue and adjustments via DVI?

the half-res issue is when the card outputs 540P instead of 1080i (not to be confused with the half-height issue, which I think was finally resolved).

the other issue is that when using the DVI output certain adjustments (video levels, colorspace conversions etc.) are no longer available (but are available using RGB).

PowerStrip? 540p seems to be an "odd #" actually with ATI... ;)

I'm not sure either, is 1080i with DTV? Interlaced is not really a "common" PC resolution. Or is it somehow with upsampled DVDs? And is the DVI problem with video levels, colorspace conversions etc. for the PC connection too (e.g. Windows)? Or is it simply a 1080i TV screen?

I do CAD (Computer Aided Design) too & would like DVI (1600x1200...). I may now want an NVIDIA GeForce 6800 Ultra instead for this reason alone...

1080i shouldn't be that big of a deal, if you have another 1080i input source. "All in One" would be great, if it worked as well as "separates". I was wondering if Powerstrip or DScaler would help, & HTPCnews talks about ATI cards & solutions . ;)
