Device manager recognizes it as an unknown device.

I have attempted to install every driver I could find, including beta drivers. Before any new driver install attempt, I have used the tool to clear drivers, then restarted. I get the same 2 error messages from the driver install program every time.

When I attempt to install the downloaded drivers, I get this error:

Drivers have NOT been updated INF file open failed

When I attempt to install the drivers from the CD, I get this error:

Drivers have NOT been updated Compatible hardware not found

I looked into the fix mentioned here:

http://www.shspvr.com/smf/index.php?...;topic=11747.0

but my registry doesn't have VEN_1131&DEV_7164&SUBSYS_ in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\SYSTEM\\CurrentControlSet\\Enum\\PCI

I'll be rma'ing this card if I don't get any solid leads here.

Specs:

Windows Vista 64

Gigabyte GA-MA78G-DS3HP

AMD 5050e

HIS ATI Radeon HD 4670 IceQ Turbo 512MB

4 GB OCZ Reaper RAM

Hitachi 7200rpm SATA II

I had this exact same problem. A call to hauppauge technical service determined that the card was not "flashed" properly and would have to be rma'd. Depending on where you bought the card (I got mine at Newegg), it may be quicker to do an exchange. Newegg had one back to me within a week.
