its going to be put in a 2 ft cube sealed. with a ep4000.

im wondering which would be better the 19Ov.2 D2 or the 19Ov.2 D4. or if any one recommend a 18 inch sub. for about the same price range that might be better. no more than $275 though.

I would run 2 ohms and be able to run the ep-4000 in 2 channel mode for 2 subs. If 2 subs are out of the question then bridge the 4000 and run in 4 ohms. D2's for 4 ohms or D4's for 2 ohms. I have the D4's running in 2 ohms.

Check the amp measurements thread and you will see that the ep2500 actually puts out more power bridged 8 ohms than a single channel at 2 ohms. Single channel 2 ohms gets 800+ watts where the 8 ohm bridged gives you ~1300. I get plenty of power with the 800 watts but haven't got around to trying my d4 wired series for the 8 ohms.

Sorry, I think I misunderstood you with my previous post. I was thinking 2 cubic feet of volume, but after rereading your post I found you meant a 2' cube. I was crashing from the RED BULL earlier so my brain wasn't up to par.

With that being said, you should be perfectly fine with that size enclosure.

I misunderstood as well.....deleted my earlier post. Wouldn't some folks here recommend one of these two 15" drivers as an alternative (better SQ, comparable SPL)? I do like ED stuff as well, and some folks do have brand preference, but these two are very popular in this crowd.... and price is comparable, slightly more than the ED.
