I was wondering would there be a difference between HSU stf-1 or HSU stf-2 in a small apartment live room?

Depends on how small. If the room does not require the extra output of the STF-2, the only difference is that the STF-2 will play deeper.

I mean I know the Stf-1 should be able to fill room at great volume, but does going deeper means louder or better sound? Thanks

The STF-1 is rated to play flat to 32hz, the STF-2 is rated to 25hz.....so the STF-2 can play lower notes.

There's lots of fun LFE below 32 Hz, especially in today's blockbuster movies. I'd grab as much of it as possible...
