just picked up a zenith pro 881xr. Needs a good tubeset. Anyone know what kind of tubes go in this one? or have a set of them or where to locate? thanks.

um... ok..... can you sub any P16 style tubes in there? i got a boat load of various P16s from different RPTVs.

I've only ever used tubes from an 880/881/895/900.


Not sure if other consumer RP tubes will work, but since the tubes used in the set are low end tubes, it's conceivable that other RP tubes MIGHT work, esp. those used in a Zenith RP set.

they look nearly identical to the PV4663RK tubes for the old zenith projo sets.


only difference is they have a slightly longer neck to compensate for the adjustment rings on the bottom, which the zenith RPTVs i worked on never had..

If you were to post a few pics of the tubes and the ends we might be able to tell you for sure which ones will work!
