I decided on a Yamaha HTR-6250 for my amp/recevier, and I recently picked up 3 Energy Take FPS for my mains and center. Now I need a sub. Been looking everywhere (canuckaudiomart, kijiji, ebay, etc) and came up with a few brands that I was unfamiliar with. These are the specs I am aiming for:


* 10-12" driver

* 25 Hz (or less) +/-3 dB as min freq. response.

* at least 200 Watt RMS amp


So I ask you if you have heard of, or have any experience with the following:


* Mirage 150i Bi-polar Subwoofer - manual.pdf For sale $375 CAD

* BIC Acoustech PL200 aka H200 This one has my attention!!! (seems like a good bang for buck!!)

* Theater Solutions RT 500 and the RT 350 as well.

* Monster Cable THX SL200-PSM PDF file. 12" tower woofer, no db rating in specs

* Velodyne SPL10BV

* Klipsch KSW-12 Only goes to 26Hz

* ED A2-300 - Nice low 18Hz response, $350 shipped (USD, but canadian dollar doing well atm)


I think I have come to a conclusion, but was curious about some of the unpopular ones. Thanks.

You can check around, but I think you should throw in a sponsor with a link at the top of the forums...HSU. Definitely ED A2-300 if you're willing to wait for it to get shipped and delivered to you (couple weeks), then i would go with the Pl-200.

More like 5-6 week lead time but worth the wait

No rush. Still have to wait for receiver to get here, couple weeks, and then have to mount TV, speakers, re-wire everything, hide the wires, etc. Nothing pressing that I need it now. Would rather have no sub for a couple weeks, than have a "lesser" sub for the next ump-teen years...

I cant find ANY reviews on the Theater Solutions make. I was tempted just to trial that thing for $179 + ship (RT-500)

No I haven't gotten the F12 yet. But even then, the room that it will be going into will not be ready for another month or two.
