OK, I have 2 S-Video Cables and I'd like to hookup my system so that I can switch between the ReplayTV and the DVD player without having to change the cords.


My TV has a single S-Video In jack labeled Video 1. The DVD player has a single S-Video Out jack. The replayTV has a S-Video In and S-Video Out.


I connected the ReplayTV's S-Video Out to the TV's S-Video In. I then connected the DVD's S-Video Out to the Replay's S-Video In.


The DVD doesn't display, however - even if I cycle through Video 1 - 4.


The ReplayTV displays on Video 1. But, even if I shut it off - note that this is different from powering the unit off - I cant display a DVD.


Is what I'm trying to do possible given my setup? If not, what do I need to do it? (Other than a new TV)

Why not get a switch box that handles S-Video?


I'm not familiar with the replay so I don't know what the S-video input is used for.
