Hey guys,


I am trying to set up my record player to my new sound system but I'm having some trouble. I just purchased a Bozak Madisson Phono pre-amp from ebay and I cant get it to work. I have my record played plugged into the inputs of the preamp and the red/white audio cables running from the output into my new sound system.


My record player is a Pioneer PL-560.


Does anybody think they can help me out at all?

OK, more info...


No sound from the pre-amp?

Or no difference in the sound as if the turntable went strait into the receiver?

Lastly, is the cartridge MC or MM?

I am getting no sound from the preamp at all.

And I'm not sure if the cartridge is MM or MC. I have been trying to find that out. The record player is working with out older sound system from the 70s.

Could be a defective pre-amp. Try connecting a CD player into it to see if that makes any sound. Just turn the volume down first...you just want a very brief chance to see if anything can send audio through it.
