HC1500 settings

2582 Views 6 Replies 6 Participants Last post by  CDLehner
Just got my first Pj on Monday, the HC1500. Can anyone recommend any projector settings......I have it projecting on a white wall and I have a PS3 via HDMI to it. It looks good out of the box, but can it look better with some tweaking? Also, should I have the PS3 as outputting 720P, 1080I or 1080P????

Any help would be great.

Bane, if you can afford it pick this up http://store01.prostores.com/servlet...Avia-II/Detail . Then also keep in mind that you can get HD test patterns from any Sony Blu-Ray title. If you can't afford the Avia disc right away, there are some links on here with test patterns that you can download and burn onto a DVD or just load off your PS3. HC1500 owners, help my man Bane out; this is his first pj and he's excited to get it looking its best.

The Avia2 disc is a good place to start. Do the basic settings first and worry about the more advanced ones as you get more familiar with them.
The entire HD1000 tweaks thread that is stickied above applies to the HC1500, too. Mine is on a gray screen so the settings won't even be close.
The 1500 looks sharper with the PS3 outputting 1080i. I'll get my settings and post back.
Also Bane, I see a couple of other postings regarding the HC1500 as well. Read all you can these early days, and enjoy.
