Hi everyone,

I have a set of HD-10L lenses on my 9500LC.

From what I have seen in the spec sheets for the lenses the max picture size should be something like 120cm to 150cm wide.

Another says 60-90" diagonal.

Can I go bigger screen size with these lenses?

will the sharpness be affected?

I am looking to go to 245cm to 274cm wide.

Is it possible, or do I need to change the lenses?

Appreciate the feedback

Cheers

Others here may disagree, but I've tried time and again, and you just can't go larger than the recommendation IF you want uniform, excellent focus across the screen. If you don't care about having a ring of unfocussed area in your screen, then go ahead and use them beyond the recommended size, otherwise, start looking for the lenses more suited to your needs.

I traded out lenses with another member. He needed the GT-17, I needed the GT-26. He said it helped for even focus across the screen. I did not see that big of a differance from what I had before. Although I started with a HD-10CM NEC # 074922025 Which was close to begin with.

A couple of things that helped me was to shim the lense for flapping, made for even focus side to side and I took the corner lense off and drilled the adjustment for more adjustment. This helped with the huge curve I have in the screen.

I though I saw some GT17's somewhere, see if I can remember and let you know.

Give or take a few OZ. about 14 lbs. each when stripped off their mounting hardware. Three weeks ago I couldn't beg borrow or steal a set of HD-10L's to trade for my HD-10GT17. Now their coming out of the woodwork.

Deron,

I would appreciate any help if you can.

It is always the problem,

When you want them, non available

When you don't, there are too many.

Lets see what happens.

I am really looking for the GT26's, but won't get fussy if I can get a set of GT17"s

Appreciate the help

Cheers

Steve, this thread has some decent info on what each lens can be used for:

I have HD-10L and want to project on a 120" + wide screen. I think the GT-17 would be perfect for me, but I commited to someone else to trade my HD-10L's for his GT26's. I'm not sure that will go through though, as he's not giving me a definate yes or no yet.
