I started a thread about a month ago and asked if anyone had tested discrete off command on their A2 and no one posted. I just tried it on a friend's A2 and it works good. I know someone posted this info in a thread looking for a discrete on code (which is the play command).


So,


A2 (and likely XA2) use the IR code from the XA1 discrete off and then use Play as your ON and it works great!

Any chance someone has a pronto ccf file for the XA1?? This is great news and I would love to load into my pronto, checked remote central and no XA1 codes available.

The discrete OFF hex code works for my XA2: the hex code for ON in the link does not work

Where can I find the discrete "off" for the XA1? If I could get my hands on the hex, I can add it to my Harmony setup.

you are right: the PLAY command is the discrete on

How ironic, A1 had Discrete On and Discrete Off IR codes. Discrete On worked but Discrete Off was broken.


Now A2 has Discrete On broken but Discrete Off works. Good thing Play is a functional workaround for Discrete On being broken. That will make most of the natives happy.

in the IR Library manager,select the remote and enter a function name (example: discrete off: hex): hit F12: a box for hex data appears: paste it in: then be sure you hit apply


you will also see a tab for hex view: same thing


Hex data can be imported from other databases such as Pronto

Can someone post a Pronto hex code for discrete on (for my XA2)? I already have a discrete off that works fine.


Yes I know Play will work, but if I pause DVD play then return to it via macro then it will issue a Play command which is not what I'd like.
