I have an opportunity to get a refurb LG combi unit for just under $500. However the reviews for this unit aren't all that good (at least the ones I've seen). I'm leaning towards the A2, while my wife is wondering if the combi player isn't the better deal.


Thoughts?

Offhand, IIRC, the one hitch with the LG dual-format player is/was that it didn't fully support the HD DVD spec--iHD wasn't supported at all. You may want to hit up the dual-format forum to verify that and if any other serious quirks exist...
