HD, antenna, Directv

Guys I live in Champaign (Duncan and Clayton) and would like to know what HD channels do you think would be possible for me to pick up using an antenna. I do not want a huge metal antenna outside my house or in my attic so are there smaller antennas that work. I have Directv with a HD ready tv and would also like to know if there are any opinions good or bad with HD receivers. Also, with what appears to be Champaigns lack of HD capable broadcasters would it be a better bet to hold off until more service is available. Thanks for your time guys.
