The HD DVD Promotion Group during their official press release in CES 2007 stated that HD DVD players have a 28 movies per player attach rate.


However some BR supporters doubt this number. I, myself, own 85 HD DVD movies so I believe that this number is highly conservative.

When did you buy your player and how many HD DVD movies do you currently own?

June 2006, 24 movies. If I had the money I would purchase many others, but I just can't afford it. That attach rate seems pretty accurate. I would edit the poll to include 20-28, or something similar.

Bought an A1 in late June and Bought an add-on for my Xbox the day it was released. Own 116 titles with quite a few more on order.

I have 18, but that is growing quickly. I thought that was an impressive number until I saw how this poll was arranged. Compared to the initial release of standard DVD so may years ago, I'd say I'm ahead of schedule at this time.

not sure it makes sense to start the poll with the lowest number being, the perhaps otpimsitic, attach rate.


not surprisingly I see now that everyone is either maxing out your poll or below the minimum entry. I know a great many people who don't even have 85 SD DVD yet.


I have 9 so far. Although that is a lot considering I couldn't watch anything until Dec. 24th. I didn't get 9 SD DVD that quickly.

Screw it this poll is fixed.


I put 45 but the selections are so retarded on this there is no way to get even a decent Idea of whats really happening.


I have as econd point though. One user has created a Thread for almost the same thing but he just asks straight numbers and counts them up and devides and all of that good stuff.


He came to a 33 attach and 41 total after pre-orders.


Edit I lied it was 36 attach and 39 total with Pre-Orders.

I bought mine (360 add on) last Thursday and so far have 5 films. Probably won't be too many seeing how my 360 died today and who know how long it'll take to get repaired, replaced.

I bought my HD-A1 at Best Buy the Saturday before launch and I am now at 89 HD DVDs.

Yup, HD DVD sure is a complete failure...

...how many DVDs would I have been able to buy the first year? (I really don't remember since I didn't have a player at launch that time...I just had to wait for Pioneer's DVD/LD combo...
