Hi I have a question I hope can get answered. Also I hope I explain myself right so u experts can give an answer, lol. Ok here I go--
I am wondering how does a dvd become HD? I know it has to do with the resolutions Lines and sort of stuff, but if i have a movie on normal dvd and want to see it in HD, is it as simple as have a dvd player that is a HD_DVD player?? Does it just simply reproduce the dvd signal to a HD_DVD signal? Does it just take a 400res to a 1080 or 720? Is it just that easy?
The reason I ask is that I have some Laserdisc's that I have and going to make into dvd's, and I would like to be able someday to see them in HD_DVD, because I doubt that they will ever be made into a dvd, never mind a HD_DVD. I want to get the software that takes a laserdisc and converts it to dvd, I assume that the pq will not be that much better then it is on the Laserdisc, I guess it will just be the same PQ, right?
Has anyone done this sort of thing yet? How r the results of it?
Since there is software to turn laserdisc's, vhs and other things to DVD's, does anyone know if there is software out there to be able to turn reg dvd's into HD_DVD, if in fact that the HD_DVD machines r not able to do it it's self??
Ok sorry to go on, but I just tried to explain myself the best way I can, and I hope that all of u out there can hopefully understand what I am trying to say , lol. Thanks WGFA (CJ)
