HD DVD Requirements and home made HD DVDs???

Is having an HDCP compliant graphics card and monitor a necessity for viewing home made HD DVD (e.g. using new DVD Moviefactory Plus) using a HD DVDrom like the new HP HD 100....? or is it only required for viewing commercial HD DVDs???

My system consists of AMD Opteron 165 running at 2.16 MHz and plan to buy the new hp hd 100 mainly to view my home made HD DVDs (I have sony hvr a1 high definition camera as the source of material)... my graphics chipset is nvidia geforce 6600 and my monitor is an acer ferari 19 inch.... (not listed to be HDCP compliant)... what do I need to view such home made HD DVDs.... ????

By now I can view all my footage in program stream format or WMVHD with ease but not yet tried HD DVDs...

HDCP compliance is not required for your own HD DVD material. There is a sticky thread at the top of the forum that goes into alot of detail about making your own HD DVD. Here is the direct link to that thread.
