Hopefully you guys will be able to explain this to me:


Why is it that some tiltles releases here in the U.S are HD DVD exclusive and some are Blu-Ray exlusive but then those same exlusives are available is different regions. Most recent example is the BluRay exclusive Underworld here is the US and then the HD DVD version being released in Spain. Same with Saw and Saw II.

If it was exlusive wouldn't that mean exclusive to that format and not becuase of the region? Would these same titles eventually come out of HD DVD is the US? And if not what would be a good site to get these titles imported from?

The reason they can be released on the other format over here in europe is because the distributors that own the own the rights for it are able to decide on their own on wich formats they release.As to the how and why i seriously dont know yet.
