HD DVD titles significantly cheaper?

Well I just got back from my super center wallmart and I noticed that Paramount movies on HD DVD have dropped in pricing. I got Sleepy Hollow and Italian Job, but I saw several other movies as well and they were all $14.95. I saw these stickers were just slapped on there. There's plenty of other HD DVD movies as well but I have not seen the blue stickers on them.

The cheapest Blu-Ray titles were $24.95 through $30. While Warner HD DVDs were $24.95 for Harry Potters.

What's the deal here? Anyone else notice this? Is it possible that we are seeing both hardware and software discounts fueled by Toshiba?

Those titles have been $15 since the $99 sale.

What I have noticed is that FYE has alot of used HD DVDs.

Thats a dumb move.

Good for people wanting to get movies for cheap.

I noticed the same thing, except they have no prices on them. On a whim, I picked up one, Sleepy Hollow actually, and took it to a "find price here" thing. I picked up The Italian Job and might get a few others later.
A-35 player I'm using. Last night I ordered Lethal Weapon and Lethal Weapon 2 from Amazon but I ordered used discs. Anybody else out there ordering used. 32.00 shipped for 2 of my very favorite movies. (I know the PQ is not suppose to be the greatest) Since my FW upgrade I have had no problems. I was just wondering if anybody else out there was doing this and what results. Just curious. I'm an Amazon consumer, I like no taxes or driving, takes us an hour to get to any brick & mortar store. I ordered from established good ratings place and you can actually send discs back. They had some there as low as 8.95 a disc and usual shpg is 2.98 a disc.

I've had good luck buying through the amazon.com marketplace.

I've bought probably 30 different discs(of different media)

out of those 30 I had the following problems

1 DVD arrived scratched (seller refunded)

1 DVD set showed up missing a disc (seller refunded)

1 Game arrived CREASED (amazon.com refunded)

1 HD-DVD arrived scratched but playable (seller sent me coupon)

There was one other problem where amazon wound up refunding me but I can't remember what it was.

Price drops for HD-DVD players and discs should not be a surprise and things like this were discussed ad nauseum last week in the other forum. And listing discs bought and where they were bought is not why we're here. There's a sticky at top to find deals. Sorry.
