 HD GURU'S 2009 PREDICTIONS

I kinda agree with this article from HD Guru...

Decrease in HDTV Pricing

Wireless HDTV

HDTV Goes Green

Thin HDTVs Will Rule (I love this...)

The Motion Resolution Race Continues

Droping Blu-ray Prices

Streaming and Widgets

Rear Projection Exclusive

What's 'rear projection exclusive' mean?

Did you read the article?

HDGuru predicts that Samsung will discontinue their RPTV line, leaving just Mitsubishi.

Along with decrease in pricing he should have added decrease in quality. With the economy the way it is manufacturers will be looking for every way to cut down on costs, if you want something "well built" in 2009 something tells me you are gonna have to pay and you won't have much choice.

Did the HD Guru happen to mention the 25% hit incurred w/download speeds when using a wireless versus a wired Ethernet connection?

This cannot be good for streaming audio/video content.

2009 sounds like it will be an exciting/interesting year.

I'm curious about how the 3D tv will pan out.

You may have seen that I already addressed your concern in the other Panasonic thread, but for others reading here, he is not talking about wireless networking and video streaming. He is talking about replacing HDMI with a cableless solution that has much higher bandwidth than a wireless network.

The HD Guru should add "the sun will rise tomorrow" to his list, although I'm not sure he'd want to go that far out on a limb.

Ha-ha-ha
, yeah its mostly elementary information.

The only part that surprised me was the RPTV blurb. His prediction doesn't necessarily surprise me, but that fact that there are only two players left in that market did. I had no idea.
