Hey Guys,
Searched around a bit but I couldn't get a definitive answer.
When a TV lists it's input capabilities as 720p/1080i it is essentially saying that it cannot handle 1080p signals, correct? I assume that means before the TV could handle the signal, it would need to be converted into either 1080i or 720p then eventually scaled down to the native resolution of the TV.
My question is:
1) If a TV gets a signal it can't handle, such as 1080p, what will it do? Does it just show a black screen?
2) Won't this be a problem if stations start broadcasting exclusively in 1080p, or am I missing something?
Thanks,
Mo
