I have a HD Ready TV that apparently supports up 1080i video. The problem is there are no HDMI, VGA or DVI inputs. It looks like HD video has to connect over component cables.


What are my options for getting an HTPC? I would like something like a Zino HD or an Asus eb1501 but it looks like I would have to spend an extra $100-200 just to convert the VGA or HDMI. Is there anything out there that will support my TV out of the box?

What brand of set?...Is it a Rear Projection CRT?

Its a 34 inch Panasonic CRT (CT-34WX50).

Your PC needs a video card with component out. Usually this is called HD TV out by the video card manufacturers. There are dozens of such cards at about $50. Her4e's one to get you started http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814102814
