I'm a newbie to the HD broadcasts thing, I have had my HDtv for two weeks now, I have watched HD programming with HDcable Box, with Cablecard....so far in ALL programs I have watch , I have seen distortion, images blured when rapid movement occurs, pixalisation, little blocks forming on close ups and out of focus shots, reguardless of wether it is ESPN, CBS, BRAVO, ABC, INHD2, or whatever.......I have YET to see a completely CLEAN HD broadcast, I know I have read here that many posters have indeed been able to watch near perfect HD broadcasts, when did it happen? what channel?? ...with what connections?(satellite,cable,antenna?}....I have yet to see that.

I'd say there is a problem with the HD cable box. Call Cablevision and have it replaced. How do you have it connected to the TV? Do SD channels look okay?


I have DirecTV with a Hughes HTL-HD receiver. Although not all HD programs look absolutely perfect, they are much better than what you described. I watch both DirecTV HD and OTA.
