HD WM9 samples on internet!

I noticed on alt.binaries.multimedia there is a poster called SAT4N who is posting HiDef clips from lots of movies.

The first bunch (Lord of the Rings 1 & 2) were in .ts format and then .wm9 format (good). Now he/she is posting a whole bunch of samples in a format I haven't heard of... .trp ?

The thing I find interesting is that I wasn't aware of LOTR being available in HD and his list of latest downloads (Original Sin, Scooby Doo, Shrek, Terminator 3, The L Word, Titan AE, Wild Things).

I am wondering if he/she is an industry insider or whether he/she is getting some of the rumored MS WM9 HiDef movies?

Am I way out of wack here?

I know some of those movies have been on HDNET, HBO HD, etc....
Has LOTR neem shown in HD?

I'm off to find a recording technology if so !

So has LOTR been shown in HD ?

TIA

I believe it was on DirecTV's HDPPV channel, though I'm not sure.
It was on Satellite in HD on PPV. I have a friend who taped the Two Towers in HD off of it.
I'm going to have to research Sat/Cable HD recording!

If the clips I downloaded off the internet are anything to go by (the .inf describes them as 1080p) then I need to drop some serious $ on whatever I need to capture...

In fact my wife said the quality was so good, and I quote, "the picture is so good (LOTR) you can almost see that the walls are made from polystyrene"....

For now you need the 169time solution (they put a firewire output on your HD sat STB I believe). There are lots of threads on it in the HD recorder forum here. This is not an endorsement, just an FYI. I have no experience with the thing 1st hand. Also, HD PVRs are just starting to hit the pavement. Not sure which (if any) archiving capabilities they offer (most seem to have DVI out but not firewire out), but at least you can timeshift good HD...

I cant seem to get to that url...

could someone give me a hand in downloading these, URL or Linky?

THANKS

StarzHD has shown both FOTR and TTT in HD thus far
Hey guys, I think this is dangerous territory to be entering. You are speaking openly in a public forum of accessing copyrighted material. Suggest these thing be kept to yourself or private email.

Bill
My apologies for leading the charge. I was actually interested in wmv9 HD materials being available since from what I have seen the quality is pretty stunning.

I am not for one moment trying to advocate anything inappropriate, I just wish the cotent providers would get their act in gear and start feeding me with wallet reducing HD movies!
