the waf has kicked in. whats with that clicking (replay hd) whats with that fan (sat box) whats with that antenna (silver sensor) we need somthing on the roof, why...



there are tons of cooling fans out there for pcs. i just stewed over which fan to put on a cooler for a new box...


i havent opened up my hd100 yet to see. has anyone? what is the fan in there??

Actually I don't think that using the RCA unit as a fan will work. I seem to think it might be quite expensive as a fan and probably will not fit into the Sony's case.

I,ve seen the inside of the case and its not pretty. The fan is a 5 volt three wire unit. I've never seen one of these before, I've probably seen a hundred fans working on computers. The HD100 will not run without the fan.


To complicate things more. It is not the fan as much as the housing that is the problem. With the cover off the fan is pretty quite. The cover and fan are only a quarter inch apart, this is what causes most of the noise. Sony will have to redesign the fan housing to fix it.

what is the volt of the computer fans? not 5?


so its more the need for a dremmel than a fan?
