I have an HD20, mounted to the ceiling in my basement

basement is unfinished. it's a work out room.

i was wondering if anyone had any ideas or suggestions on a ceiling mount that also has

a quick release so i could move it outside for my outside blow up screen?

Look at the Chief RPA mounts. They are solidly built and they have a plate that mounts on the projector and thumb screws that secure it to the base mount. Once the base mount is in place and the plate is on the projector it only takes a minute or so to take the projector down or put it back up.

I have a DIY mount using a flange on the ceiling and one on a piece of board mounted to the projector, I use a short pipe nipple to connect the two. I thought about a quick connect also before and but scratched it. My plan was to use a pipe union to quickly connect/disconnect, did not have time to finish it.

I'm just going to second the Chief RPMAU mount. It is one of the most stable mounts you can purchase, will last you basically forever, and offers a quick release function to make it all work easier. Kind of pricey, but better than anything else out there.
