HD200-->JVC 3000 HD Recording?

252 Views 2 Replies 2 Participants Last post by  Iceweazle
I was planning on getting the Sony hd200 hd reciever and wanted to hook it up to the JVC 3000 HD recorder to record HD. Is this possible with the connections? Is the DVI on the Sony compatible with the JVC?

Any help is appreciated! Thanks!

No. DVI = never record. You do not have any option for recording, other than thr Samsung T165, which is NOT a DirecTV box. OTA only.

I'm sure Dave will be in here 20 seconds after I leave to push the 169Time, but it, along with the DISH 5000 modulator options, are compicated, not actual "retail" products (well, the 5000 was, but is now discontinued), expensive and not 100% trustworthy. The 169Time can be especially tricky. So consider yourself warned.
I was wondering why no one was doing it!

Bummer actually. I wonder if there will be any firewire DirecTv boxes in the future? I thought about the 169time solution, but that is just a bit expensive for me right now. The only way I have been able to afford what I have is to buy 1 piece at a time.

Thanks again!
