HD200x with do-able screen, NEED TO IMPROVE UNDER DAYLIGHT

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Do-able screen is great at night watching movies, but for sporting events its kinda weird to have all the guys sitting around in complete darkness...

what would be the best way to improve my screens preformance in higher ambient light situations?.. I know this is talked about a lot but i dont have access to a sprayer and would like to get this done on my own for as little as possible... what do you guys think?

Not sure of you set up, but what I did was bet hold of a couple accent UP lights .. not sure what they are called. They are plastic can type lights the shine up. I have them behind some furniture with low wattage bulbs or they could be put on dinners.. The light is place in such a way that it does not shine on the screen but creates enough light to function without washing out the screen. Now I don't have a DIY screen anymore but it worked well even with a sheet of foam core I used in the early days.

These lights are about 10-20$ and may give you what you need.

Either way, if you can place them in a manner to be behind your screen or far to the sides, they also help with perceived contrast by giving you a bias light. Your pupil does not open as wide during the dark scenes making the screen look darker and you do not have a much eye strain going from dark to real bright scenes. There are threads on 6500D light for bias but a simple incandescent bulb works for me!

Good luck
