I recently purchased a Optoma Hd66 projector and I'm having trouble getting it to recognize my HDMI cable inputs. VGA from my lap top works fine, along with the standard red/white/yellow from my 360. But when I tried HDMI from my PS3 all it does it give me a black screen with a pink line running down the left side. Ive also tried running the HDMI cable from my lap top to the projector with no effect.

Am I having this problem because I'm not running it threw an AV box? Or is something wrong with my settings/projector.

I used the regular HDMI cable from my PS3. Its about 6 feet long.

I used the same cable for my laptop and PS3. When i connect it from my Laptop it doesnt even recognize anything is connected and just the blackscreen with pink line is shown when I connect the PS3

What rez are you sending over the HDMI cable? Be sure the PS3 is set to send over HDMI. Don't sent 24fps and check the frequency settings for your laptop for compatibility in the Optoma manual.
