Hey Y'All,

I've had my Optoma HD70 for about 11 years. Just this past week it seemed to have a bulb problem (amber lamp indicator). In an attempt to fix it I ordered a new lamp. I received the replacement lamp today and once again, after about 10 minutes of operation the projector failed with the same symptom. So I have to ask, can I fix this or is the projo toast?

Anyone with ideas, please chime in.

Is the original and replacement lamp physically OK, or did they both blow (recent replacement an authorized OEM supplier or a cheepo knockoff?) If lamp is quality and no physical issue, it's probably the lamp ballast (particularly if you've used several lamps over the years)
