Installed a hd 5450 card to replace onboard hd 3200.

connected it with hdmi to receiver pioneer VSX-919, and hdmi to tv.

When the htpc is started, theres a light on the receiver that its connected.

When turning on the tv the receiver dispalys hdcp error and no picture.

connecting hdmi straight to tv and it works.

any ideas?

Used:

1 hour just to fit the card in the small case.

1/2 hour to find out why there was no picture with hdmi\\dvi before reading the manual that onboard must be disabled.

45 min. to find a vga cable to get into bios.

And now this

I have the gigabyte GA-MA78GM-US2H (rev. 1.0)

New drivers (use a program to detect those)

Luckily i had teamviewer and input director on it the first time i tried it. So i knew it worked after messing with that card.

Strange, usually Gigabyte boards are smart, meaning you don't have to disable onboard video. In my Asus, I simply plugged it in and it took it from there, even though I believe the manual states that the onboard should be disabled.

Did you try switching different inputs on your receiver?

Also, do you have AnyDVD?

What do you mean by 'New drivers (use a program to detect those)'?

Thbe 5450 should not be checking the receiver for HDCP complience unless you are palying something like a Blu-Ray disk which requires HDCP when using HDMI.

I imagine the HDCP capable and HDCP complient mean the the same thing.

Have you tried different powerup sequences such as TV, Receiver, and then PC? I ask since apparently you got it to work once.
