HDMI cable help

749 Views 2 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  RapalloAV
Hey everyone. This question probably comes up a lot on these forums but I really need some advise on to which HDMI cable to buy. Which cord would work best for a 720p - 1080i plasma? Would HD component cables be a better option? Thanks for the help, feel free to post some links also.

I prefer HDMI since it's all digital and requires just one cable for both video and audio. But it occasionally has problems with the handshake signal which you may have noted from reading this forum. Component requires four (digital audio) or five (analog audio) cables.

For HDMI, it basically depends upon the distance as to the type and gauge of cable to get. For short distances (
