whynot just purchase a 35' HDMI cable? I've ran a couple 30'+ cables in my fathers home for his plasma/projector. We even purchased a 50' cable to run into his office without problems. I think you will suffer less loss than using a few adapters to convert the cat6 cables. Usually the cat6 adapters are meant for super long runs and aren't good quality. also only using an HDMI cable later you'll be able to upgrade your videocard to something as cheap as a 5450 ($50) and run lossless audio to a stereo and receive 1080p video and DTSHD or trueHD.

That could work. I was under the impression that Cat5/6 would handle the signal better for a long run, but having the adapter I suppose might nullify that. What AWG or type of shielding should I consider in an HDMI cable of 30-35 feet?
