HDMI-DVI cable question

My cable box has HDMI, DVI all kinds its the comcast box connections and my TV has a DVI, componet and S videa input.My reciever is an pioneer 815 if that matters at all. Any suggestions on the what cable i should get.

I'd probably get an HDMI - DVI cable. DVI - DVI would be exactly the same in your current setup, but I'd prefer the latter in case my cable company later offered a newer model box on which the only digital output was HDMI (Time Warner has done this to me).


I don't know anything about your receiver, but if video switching is important to you...it might dictate that you use component video. FWIW, DVI-HDMI and Component have very, very similar PQ in my setup.
