On my upscaling DVD player I can set the HDMI output to YCbCr or RGB.


What's the difference between these two?


Which one of these is best for front projection?

YCbCr means your display does the video decoding, RGB means your player does it.


It depends if your display supports both inputs automatically or manually, and it depends which is better at video decoding or has adjustments to make it better.


You need a calibration DVD to make that determination.
