i have sent the unit back to the store

the guy told me it looks lite the HDMI card is dead...

 

he said that connecting in and out hdmi while the unit is on could kill the card?!

anybody knows if they are that sensitive? any experience with bad hdmi?

I have done it on many occasions on my Yamaha and my Denon. My son comes over and plugs his ps3 into the front hdmi all the time while the receiver is on. I think they are looking for excuses. If its man made it will fail.

Manuals state before making any connections to be sure all equipment is powered off. So yes its possible that connecting a HDMI cord could have shorted out the HDMI board.

any how they are taking care of it 

no complaints about the service

just want to know how to handle it once repaired...
