Thanks!

Do most of these eventually show up on HDNet Movie Night?

Layer Cake may be an American HD Premier but it's already been on Movie Central HD in Canada.

Also bring back the Namaste exercise program if you have time to kill, my wife is still mad about you dropping it.

Thanks for the post. Ah, at last, Chinatown. Hope it's a great print/transfer.

BTW, maybe HDNet Movies could start a special listing for films derived from 4k digital intermediates or 4k digital-camera production downconverted to 1080/24p...call it Super-resolution movies, etc. (Here's an imdb search for some 4k DIs.) Then maybe hire a consultant to spectrum analyze some of them and see what's added by the oversampling/downconversion, if anything, resolution-wise or for reduced aliasing--all at HDNetM's ~17 Mbps video payload. Might as well encode a few detailed extra scenes at HD disc rates or codecs just to compare with ~17 Mbps and post details at HD.Net. -- John

Enter the Dragon - premieres Sunday, July 1st at 10:15pm

from the HD-net.com web site:
Quote:
Run Time: 1:42

There are two versoins of this film:

- Theatrical Version, which is 1:39

- 25th Anniverysary "Uncut" Version, which is 1:50, but mistakenly said "1:42" on the box.

Is there any way to find out (in advance), which version is being shown? The online Guide shows a 1:45 block being allocated for this program, although I have previously found HD-Net channel movies running long...

WOW quite a few excellent movies...

One excellent movie just on that you can't even get on DVD is Raise The Red Lantern..
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0101640/

Yimou Zhang ....Same director as "Hero" with Jet Li and House of Flying Daggers & Curse of the Golden Flower...

Good solid dramatic movie with Gong Li...

Oh and Second vote for Enter The Dragon... curious to see the PQ...

On my Setupo with Verizon FIOS the PQ on HD Net Movies has been tremendous...

I have the HDDVD of Enter the Dragon and it will be interesting to compare the PQ. The HDDVD was superior to the last DVD release...but still had some soft, blurry moments.

I just want to say that this channel just gets better and better. In fact, it has become the channel that comes up when I turn on my cable box. The last few weeks, it seems like I've been able to watch a different, really great movie every time I turn on the tv. The picture quality is amazing and the variety of films is great too. HBO could stand to learn a lesson from HDnet movies about film programming.

Anyone watch the premier of Cashback, I thought it was a great movie. Too bad I don't see it anywhere yet on HDDVD, or DVD.
