Ok here's my situation. I just got my money back on my DTC-100 from RS. (loved the reception on 5 local OTA HD's, not happy with NTSC scaling)

I need to double/scale the output of my Pioneer DVD changer,NTSC from TWC, and a VCR. The display is a Hitachi 36SDX01S. I need an replacement HD source but TWC will be in my neighborhood with 9 HD channels in a month. (or so the promise goes)

Pro HDT-2000:

Recent review lauds OTA HD reception and NTSC scaling to 1080i. Costs about the same as the Iscan but scales to 1080i and includes OTA HD receiver.

Pro Iscan Pro:

Known good 480P. Has component inputs. Easy to sell if not happy.

So if the 1080i of the HDT were as good or better than the Iscan's 480P then its a total no-brainer. But if not...

I did read somewhere that the HDT-2000 uses DVDO technology inside.

Anyone care to lend a hand?

Thanks,

Ken
