My local CBS affiliate, WGCL, seems to have increased their preemptions of prime time programming. Tonight, they showed some locally produced Super Bowl news special in place of 60 Minutes II. Yes, 60 Minutes II isn't HD, but Jag is. Jag was preempted a couple of weeks ago. I'd prefer not to watch Jag at 2 or 3 am or at some future unknown date and in SD, because they don't have an HD recorder. This is the third preemption in what seems the past couple of months. (Didn't keep a log.) My local ABC station does this, too.

Before the advent of HD, this practice was annoying. Now that we have HD, it can mean an inferior and inconvenient viewing experience for a captive audience with no recourse. Any other forum members suffering from the scheduling vagaries of local programmers?
