I'm looking for suggestions on video capture cards - here's the details:

I need to record the the display of a computer running at around 1280x1024. For various reasons which I am not at liberty to elaborate on, I can only use the output of the video card as a recording source - no capture software is allowed on the computer being recorded. But, the video signal can be either DVI or RGBHV. Frame rate doesn't need to be more than 24p or so.

Based on previous discussion here, it looks like my best chance is to set the output video card to 1920x1080i and go with a DVI->HD-SDI converter and then some sort of HD-SDI capture hardware.

Ideally the HD-SDI capture device would be a PCI-Express card with Windows or Linux drivers - Mac-only means I gotta buy a Mac, but I've got lots of PCs around.

Any suggestions (and expected prices)? Thanks
