Completely new at this... Just connected ATI 9700 video card's DVI connector to a Pioneer SD533 HDTV using ATI dongle and have a "resolution" question. I have the 480i, 480p, 1080i and 16:9 dipswitches on.

The HDTV (using component video) sets up at 720 x 480 (according to the display properties) which lets me pan around my 1280 x 1024 desktop. I tried launching "Castle Wolfenstein" which I had set at 1600 x 1200 and I can only see the upper left of the image, which makes sense.

Do I have to lower the resolution of the game? I want to keep that high 1600 x 1200 picture quality but I do not know how to increase the resolution on the TV itself.

Thanks for reading and helping a complete newcomer. I did look through the FAQs a bit and read some on Powerstrip but am completely confused.

Again, thanks for any advice!
