Looks like I will get the DISH 6000 and connect to my 4:3 Toshiba TP61H95. As I understand it, I can combine the signals from the 2 dishes using a switch (I only have 1 TV). Then I can run a single cable into my house. Is this right?

My question is whether I can splice this into my incoming cable TV cable (to make running the cable easier). Will the satellite or cable TV signal get messed up? (Note that it is actually cheaper for me to keep the cable TV than to get rid of it because of my cable modem price break.)

Thanks,

Mark

I believe if your existing coax cable is RG6 then you can use a diplexer to combine the Satellite and Cable signal. However, if you are talking about tieing into the cable coming into your house that then splits to various rooms, I don't think that will work. If you want to split the signal again at your Dish receiver you will need another diplexer.
