Hey guys,

I've had a NEC LT100 for 3 1/2 yrs now. I believe it and the Davis DLP pj was the talk of the forum when I bought it! It has been a wonderful projector using my htpc. I've been out of touch for a year or two and now I'm looking to upgrade to an hdtv system via Dishnetwork or Directv. Will my NEC LT100 handle all HD formats thru an RGB connection from the DBS receiver? And are there any DLP pj's out there for under $2500 that will blow my LT100 out of the water for HDTV?

Thanks,

Jeff

Hmm... Looking at the specs of the LT100, with a contrast ratio of 200:1, I have to say that the technology came a long way since 4 years ago... Among the under-$2500 DLP, you may want to look at the Dell 3200MP / Optoma Ez-Pro 737, either of which should provide significantly better picture quality...

Try the LT240. Closer to $3k maybe than $2500 but has a fantastic picture.

Sushi's recommendations are great too.

After looking thru some specs and feeling out some prices, I'm thinking that I will be the happiest if I go with a NEC HT1000. Of course I'll have to save up a little longer, but I think it's justified!
